Poloray WordPress Theme Inkthemes Review Core Update Pankaj Agarwal
This blog post is to publish my personal experience with the poor customer service I experienced from InkThemes when the latest WordPress core update corrupted 3 of my websites as they all were built with the Poloray WordPress theme. After some research on Linkedin I tried to connect with Pankaj Agarwal who has been reached out to personally by myself, however, I have not had a response on the date of publishing this blog.
On 11th December 2020 my inbox contained a highly concerning email from AHREFs with over 400 warnings, seemingly overnight.
As an SEO it’s not in my skill set to redevelop themes, edit code, or write HTML anything other than the basics (Bold, Headers, Hyperlinking etc) so initially, I felt nervous that there was something amiss with my host server with all of the 500 internal server errors. I knew this was not something that I was able to do.
WordPress Website 500 Internal Server Error – 493 URLs
So, I contacted my host whom I have been with for 11 years:
[11-Dec-2020] Hi team, I’m a bit scared about this.
I have a weekly report sent to me about seolady.co.uk for website health, today’s report showed 493 errors, all of them
500 Internal Server Error
If you click the top page URL here, it displays the message “There has been a critical error on this website.”
500 Internal Server Error

The same with these sample links

Any ideas please?
Big thanks

[11-Dec-2020 13:41:09 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /var/www/vhosts/seolady.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/1weekseo/functions/dynamic-image.php:292
This is saying that there’s invalid PHP code in this theme’s files: 1weekseo
Specifically this file: 1weekseo/functions/dynamic-image.php
It suggests there’s invalid code on line 292, but sometimes the lines can be a bit off in the logs, if you’re not the person who usually edits the code you might want your developer to take a look. Because the error given was a fatal error it suggests the site failed to load because of it being triggered.
[2020-12-14 08:17:46] … the issue here is actually that there was a WordPress core update done on the 9th. That does unfortunately mean that a rollback won’t fix this, as we cannot replace the core files I’m afraid. If you do still believe that this is not related to the WordPress core files, let me know and we will put through that restore to the backup we have from the 5th.
Inkthemes Support Review for Pankaj Agarwal – Training Opportunity Identified
The problems that I have experienced with InkThemes (the developers of the Poloray theme) is the lack of response and delayed time for response. If any of my clients notify me that their website is corrupt and critical, then they immediately become a priority.I immediately jump into action to resolve the same day if possible.
I’m not asking the developer how to change a font, my request was an urgent one asking for immediate help and I was ignored.
- December 9th I updated with the WordPress Core theme
- It was not possible to roll back and uninstall the WordPress Core Theme update
- My website functionality broke reverting the home page to 2013
- Customizer did not work
- All 300 of my blog posts displayed the error message “There has been a critical error on this website.Learn more about debugging in WordPress.“
- 12th December I posted on the forum, I had a reply to email you the login to my website which I did
- No reply 13th, 14th 15th December
- 16th December I needed to find a developer, I have 3 websites with the Poloray theme! They all corrupted the same way
- 17th December I hired a developer, this took 5 hours to fix at a cost of £150
- 17th December he sent me the new theme files which I uploaded to my other domains and fixed them all
- No changes were made to my account from your team
I sent my invoice from People Per Hour to prove I paid a developer £150, I am now invoicing them for the same amount. They are in denial that it’s not possible to reimburse me for my critical fix. This is bad customer service at it’s finest. On Linkedin, the CEO is Pankaj Agarwal and in my desperation, I connected with him via Linkedin messaging to no avail.
Poloray Pro Uninstalling and Uploading Free Theme Did Not Work
No, the homepage should not have my mobile number displayed, this is the 2012 design
The rest of the website is up to date including my website blog however I still have the error message
There has been a critical error on this website.

I was thinking of uninstalling the theme and uploading a fresh copy. I downloaded one from my account yesterday, what’s the routine for this?
- I have 3 websites all with the Poloray WordPress theme from Inkthemes
- I bought Poloray Pro in 2012 and used these files for other websites
- My situation meant I had to pay a UK Developer to fix the theme code, zip it to me so I could install it in the other 2 websites
- The customer service team are not able to escalate, there does not appear to be a chain of command
It’s been 7 days now Nina Payne SEO LADY
PHP is 7.4 – Is the Poloray theme compatible with this or just 7.1?
There is an issue with thumbnail images we think in the blog area

there does seem to be a fatal error being reported in the logs with a stack trace, perhaps your developer can get more use from this:
